Furnace capabilities

Minimum glass size 300mm x 100mm
Maximum glass size:– 5100mm x 2800mm (Furnace 1) 6000mm x 2440mm (Furnace 2)
4mm TGHD – Maximum size possible is 2.0sqm
5mm TGHD – Maximum size possible is 3.0sqm

Toughened processing, holes and cut-outs

12mm substances and above require a minimum Flat Grind finish
Distance between edge of glass and edge of cut-outs must be at least 4x the glass thickness
Corner cut-outs to be at least 2x the glass thickness and no cut-out is to exceed 1/3 of the total area of the panel
Centre cut-outs to be at least 2x the glass thickness and no cut-out is to exceed 1/3 of the total area of the panel
Internal radius corners must be minimum of the glass thickness
Polished internal radius corners will have a minimum radius of 15mm on all thicknesses
No restrictions apply to external radius corners other than type of edge capabilities on shapes
Minimum hole diameter is 6mm but must equal to, or greater than the glass thickness
Minimum distance from edge of hole to the nearest edge of the glass must be 1.5x the glass thickness
Distance from edge of hole or cut-out to the corner of the glass must be at least 4x the glass thickness
If a hole is placed in a position closer than the above minimum requirements, a saw cut slot
can be made to minimise the stressed and chances of breakages

Heat soak capabilities

Minimum glass size 600mm x 600mm
Maximum glass size 5000mm x 2800mm
Minimum glass thickness 4mm
Maximum glass thickness 19mm

Custom laminate capabilities

Minimum glass size: 300mm x 600mm
Maximum glass size: 5100mm x 2800mm
Toughened custom laminate glass requires a minimum 1.52mm interlayer

All deliveries to be customer assisted. No deliveries by driver only
Standard delivery times 6:30AM to 3:00PM
Deliveries outside of these hours by agreement between Glassworks and Customer

Templates

Templates may be reduced for cutting around
Templates are to be manufactured from a sturdy material

Templates to have customer name and order number clearly marked
Templates are to be exact size with no added measurements
No protruding nails/screws
1 template supplied per panel
